Applied Earth Sciences | August 3, 2017

Departmental undergraduate Wing Man LEE (Charlotte) was named as the 1st runner-up of the AGS (HK) Final Year Projects Competition 2017 for her project “Late Holocene Sea Surface Temperatures in South-Eastern Waters of Hong Kong” (supervisor: Dr. ZH Liu).

The Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists Hong Kong (AGS HK) is a professional organization working with the local geotechnical and geoenvironmental community. The Final Year Projects Competition is an annual event they organise that recognises excellence in undergraduate research in the fields of geology and geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. The competition involves four local universities who each nominate their chosen participants.

Well done Charlotte and Dr. Liu on this great result, which highlights the wonderful research opportunities we are able to offer in the department.
