Dr. Zuo, Xuran

Assistant Lecturer

Dr. Xuran Zuo received her BSc degree from University of Lille 1 in 2009, MSc degree from University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris 6) in 2010, and PhD degree from HKU in 2015. Trained as a geologist and modeler, she is most interested in the evolution of subduction zones, and the tectono-thermal history of South China Block and South China Sea. Her research tools include numerical and analog geodynamic modeling, and the low-temperature thermochronology. Apart from teaching BSc and MSc courses, she is also serving as assistant director of the MSc programme in applied geosciences and committee member of Geological Society of Hong Kong.
