A GEOSCIENCE TOUR FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS FROM HOHAI UNIVERSITY
Dr. Xin Luo from the Department of Earth Sciences organized a geoscience tour for 25 undergraduate students from Dayu College of Hohai University on January 20-27, 2024.
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Zhonghui Liu, Head of the Department, delivered a warm welcome speech on the history and 4 main research divisions of DES. Subsequently, Dr. Luo Xin gave a keynote speech entitled "Radium-Radon nuclides in Engineering Geology".
Professor Li Weiran, Dr. Qian Yuqi, Dr. Huang Chang, Dr. Zhao Kai, Dr. Yin Huimin and Dr. Wang Chao gave a series of talks on the frontier research in Earth and Planetary sciences. Dr. Cheung, Man Ching (Hazel) provided the students with a guided tour at the Stephen Hui Geological Museum.
