WELCOMING NEW MSC (APPLIED GEOSCIENCES) STUDENTS

The Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences is pleased to welcome 19 new full-time and part-time MSc students to our MSc in the field of Applied Geosciences Programme for the 2026-27 academic year.
To mark the start of the new academic year, a Welcome Party and Induction Session was held on 31 August 2026. This event provided an excellent opportunity for students, teachers and alumni to connect, build relationships, and foster a strong sense of community.
Our Interim Head of Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences, Professor Zhonghui Liu; Professor Louis Wong, MSc Programme Director; Professor Andrew Malone, Programme Advisor; and Professor WK Pun, Associate Programme Director extended warm greetings and hearty congratulations to our new students. The occasion was further enriched by the participation of dedicated MSc teachers, supporting staff, and esteemed alumni. They shared valuable insights and guidance to equip the incoming students for their academic journey.
As we begin this exciting new academic year, we wish all students a successful and fulfilling journey ahead.
