WARM WELCOME TO NEW MSC (APPLIED GEOSCIENCES) STUDENTS
2024.09.04
The Department of Earth Sciences is excited to welcome the arrival of 28 new full-time and part-time MSc students joining our Applied Geosciences programme for the academic year 2024-25.
To kick off the academic year, a Welcome Party and Induction Session was held on 28 August 2024, providing an invaluable opportunity for students and faculty to connect and foster relationships.
MSc Programme Director Prof. Louis Wong, Programme Admissions Advisor Prof. Andrew Malone, and Associate Programme Director Prof. Pun WK extended a warm welcome and hearty congratulations to the new students. Further enhancing the occasion, dedicated members of our MSc faculty, esteemed alumni, and current postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows were in attendance. They offered their expertise and guidance to the newly admitted students, ensuring they are well-equipped for the journey ahead.
The Induction Session provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the programme objectives, regulations, and the pivotal role of applied geosciences in today's world. The new students demonstrated their understanding and appreciation of the significance of their chosen themes of the MSc programme. As we embark on this new academic year, we extend our best wishes to all students.
