Teng’s main research focuses on understanding the fundamental characteristics of plasma waves in planetary space environments, particularly in geospace. Her work also delves into the physical processes of wave-particle interactions. These studies aim to explore the transport of matter and energy within the diverse space environments of various planets.
Building on this foundation and in collaboration with other researchers, Teng is currently conducting the exciting interdisciplinary research on the evolution of the terrestrial planets (such as Mars, Venus and moons in the Jupiter system) by combining approaches from space physics and planetary geoscience.
