My research explores how satellite observations can reveal the physical and ecological dynamics of the surface ocean, particularly in the context of environmental change and human influence.

I investigate various surface processes including floating macroalgae blooms, red tides, eddies, surface currents, ocean waves, and ocean-atmosphere interactions. I am particularly interested in how these processes interact with land-ocean boundaries and how they respond to and influence broader patterns of climate variability and change.

By integrating remote sensing data with physical models and data-driven methods, I aim to advance our understanding of the ocean’s role in the Earth system and support more effective monitoring of marine environmental change.
